Fantastic survey. A few thoughts.

1. The essential problem is the denial of reality with the consequences that we now we have a situation where non-materiality and anti-humanism (transhumanism) have become dominant philosophical narratives.

2. In addition, some of us realize that the philosophy of the Enlightenment had some serious errors baked into it. One is the idea that "I think therefore I am." The second is the subject/object problem of knowledge. If all knowledge is subject to our determination of what is true, then we can say whatever we want and it be true.

3. We recover reality by recognizing that all knowledge is personal (after Michael Polanyi). By this we can accept that the reality transcends our capacity to know it and control it. If we can see that my place within reality affects my perception of reality, then I or we can more humbly look at the world as something to discover rather than something control as if we are gods.
